Despite Equilibrium's current "parting of the ways" status, there is quite a bit of news to relay.

Finally, Equilbrium has begun the official commemoration of its meteoric existence by heading into the studio to record its debut CD. Facing Elliott's and Ryan's imminent departures, the band equiliberated 5th Street Studios in Austin, Texas, on July 13th, 14th, and 15th and recorded bass, drum, and trumpet parts for 14 songs. Fred is presently scheduled to record guitar parts on July 25th and 27th, and he will follow that with vocals and mixing in the months ahead. If all goes well, the band hopes to have the CD -- tentatively titled "Jazz Gone Wrong" -- completed by the end of the year. In anticipation of finishing on schedule, we have already begun conversing with the booking agent for the Dirty Dog Bar about the possibility of a reunion/CD-release show at the Dirty Dog during the week between Christmas and the new year.
