The epic recording ordeal that is Equiliberation continues. The end is tantalizingly close but, simultaneously, maddeningly elusive. Prolonging our journey, our engineer/co-producer has cancelled our last two mixing sessions, including an eight-hour session scheduled for today. Granted, he had good reasons to cancel -- he was in a car accident this morning that sent him to the hospital -- but the upshot is that we are still in the air circling the runway. We can see the airport of completion, but we just can't get the plane on the ground! Well, despite the seemingly-endless bad luck that has surrounded this project, we are still thrilled with the music. We're telling ourselves we are burning through our bad luck now, and we will have nothing but good luck when the CD is finally done. So... that must mean world-wide acclaim and spectacular riches await us!
